C.A.R.E. After School Program

***NOTICE TO PARENTS*** Wednesday, April 22nd, 2020 - 9:41 a.m.

Last night, Governor Sisolak announced the continuance of Nevada school closures through the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.  As a provider of both after-school and full day summer youth programs, we are actively discussing plans to reopen our programs in a safe and responsible manner.  We will be reaching out in the near future regarding plans for the remainder of the CARE after-school season and implementation of the SUMFUN summer program.

Our programs will reopen at a future date still to be determined.  As mentioned previously, those parents who have unused payments on the books may be refunded by contacting the Parks and Recreation office at (775) 423-7733 and leaving a message.  Otherwise, payments will be deferred until programs reopen.

***NOTICE TO PARENTS*** Sunday, March 15th, 2020 - 5:39 p.m.

This afternoon, Governor Sisolak announced state-wide school closures due to ongoing concern over the COVID-19 virus. Given this unprecedented situation, the CARE after-school program will be closed until further notice. We believe that this is the best course of action and in line with current recommendations from the CDC and Nevada Department of Health.

While the Governor has announced an April 6th deadline to school closures, we are unable to say at this time whether the CARE program will be following the same schedule. We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide you with updates as new information becomes available.

For those parents currently registered for future weeks of the program, payments may be refunded or deferred until the program reopens at your preference. Please contact the Parks and Recreation office at (775) 423-7733 with any questions.
